Professional Experience

I did my 3-year residency training for DNB medicine at Poona Hospital and Research Centre,Pune after passing my MBBS degree from Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research ,Pune

During the residency, training included various aspects of medicine; providing the core knowledge, skills and experience essential for a competent trained specialist.

Poona Hospital is a recognized Postgraduate teaching Hospital by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

It is a 300 bedded hospital in which the medicine department is well equipped with all sorts of modalities of treatment including a good and very efficient laboratory backup, good radiology department equipped with CT scan, MRI, nuclear imaging, ultrasound, 2D ECHO, in addition to a histopathology department and biochemistry department.

During my three years of training, I worked in general medicine and various subspecialty departments like gastroenterology, cardiology, neurology, chest medicine, infectious diseases, hematology, nephrology, and intensive care medicine which involved management of critically ill patients and various lifesaving procedures like advanced and basic cardiac life support,intubations and mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, central line insertions, arterial line insertions, and catheterizations. Also, diagnostic procedures like lumbar puncture, pleural tapping, ascitic tapping and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.

My dissertation topic during my training period was ‘To assess the prevalence of multi drug resistant tuberculosis as determined by genotype mtbdr plus(hain lifesciences) in patients infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus’ which was accepted by the National Board of Examinations.

DrNB TRAINING IN NEPHROLOGY

Global Hospital Superspecialty and Transplant Centre, Mumbai is a 450-bed corporate hospital in Mumbai.

My training period was from April 2018 to August 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Bharat Shah during which I acquired proficiency in diagnosis and treatment of

My Dissertation Topic during my training period was ‘A prospective study to evaluate the effects of sodium - glucose co transporter-2 inhibitors in diabetic patients with chronic kidney disease’ which was accepted by the national Board of Examinations.
